Josh Daniel, a hopeful on X Factor, nearly chose a different song for his audition, and he might go down in history as the performer that brought Simon Cowell to tears.
Having a Conversation with the Mirror Joshโs friend Kerrianne Covell, who made it to the ITV seriesโ judgesโ houses in 2014, disclosed that he had his eye on a different song but decided to sing Labrinthโs Jealous after seeing it performed for her and friend Liv Quantrill.
Josh was supposed to sing Nathan Sykesโ โKiss Me Quick,โ Kerrianne recalls.
โI donโt think thatโs the song,โ Liv said to us in the dancing studio. Which other songs would you recommend?

โThereโs no doubt about it,โ I stated. It has to be the one, Kerrianne said, if you can move peopleโs hearts the way you did when you were just kneeling on the ground.
โHe called to ask if he could change his song,โ a few days before his audition.
Josh dedicated the song to his friend Tom Woolley, who passed away in 2013 at the age of just 18, as he disclosed on Sunday nightโs broadcast.
Watchers observed Simon, whose mother Julie Brett passed away just before the auditions started, becoming obviously distressed during the performance. Later, he was driven off in a golf cart, leaving Nick Grimshaw and Cheryl F-V unsure of what to do.
